About Us

Our Story

We are Caro and Borja, a beautiful mix of Mexico and Spain. We met 10 years ago in Barcelona. After our wedding in Mexico, our Spanish guests couldn’t stop talking about Mexico’s lovely culture, traditions and colorful craftsmanship.

So, as the saying goes: “Sharing is caring”, we created Manini to share with the rest of the world the beauty of Mexican Folk Art and handmade pieces from Mexico’s Indigenous Communities.

Our Mission

Manini’s name comes from the word in Otomí language, Ma Hnini, which means "my community" or "my people".

Manini’s mission is to give a taste of these indigenous communities’ culture and traditions to people in different corners of the world.

These multigenerational artisan communities create high-quality handmade pieces, each with a special story and meaning behind. Every time you buy a piece from Manini, you are not only supporting a local artisan from these communities, you are looking through the window into the soul of Mexico’s heritage.
